Your routine stays yours.
FastZen stores fasting records and settings on your device. The app has no developer-operated account, analytics service, advertising system or backend.
- No tracking
- Local records
- Local reminders
- No health diagnosis
Scope
This policy covers the FastZen apps for iOS and Android and the public website. FastZen is a timer and journal for a routine you choose; it is not medical or nutritional advice.
Android app and Google Play Billing
Google Play Billing processes optional purchases. The app does not receive payment-card details. The app checks the signed purchase record on your device, queries purchases from Google Play, including automatically when the app resumes, to reconcile your purchase rights, and sends purchase tokens to Google Play to acknowledge eligible purchases. When Google Play Billing is used, the Billing library also sends technical diagnostics and a randomly generated Billing session identifier directly to Google over an encrypted connection. These may include the billing operation and result, diagnostic messages and response timing, Android version and build details, device model and manufacturer, app version, device language and country, time zone, mobile-network details, and event times. Your fasting records and routine stay on this device and are not included in these diagnostics. Google handles this information under its Privacy Policy.
Data in the app
The app can store start and end times, selected plan and duration, mood, notes, completion history, routine days and time, notification preference and summary statistics. These records are stored locally with SwiftData and device preferences.
FastZen does not send this information to the developer. Apple may include app data in a device backup according to your device and iCloud settings.
Reminders and Live Activities
If you grant permission, FastZen schedules routine and fasting reminders through the local notification system. The developer does not operate a push server.
When you start a Live Activity, iOS displays timing state on supported system surfaces. FastZen updates it locally; it does not use remote push updates.
Optional purchases
The app can request configured products through Apple StoreKit. Apple processes purchases and payment details. FastZen reads Apple's verified transaction result to complete the selected purchase; the developer does not receive card details. Apple applies its own privacy policy.
Website and support
The public site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and has no analytics, advertising pixels or tracking scripts. Cloudflare processes connection data needed to serve the pages, and product screenshots may be delivered by Apple's content-delivery network.
The optional support form sends the app name, support subject, chosen category, reply email address, any app and operating-system versions you enter, your message, and an anti-spam field to Cloudflare Workers for validation. The request is then forwarded to the developer’s support inbox. Grok Bot, an automated assistant used by the publisher, reads inbox messages to sort requests and prepare or send replies. This information is used to respond to your request and maintain the app, not for advertising.
The developer uses a support submission only to route, investigate and answer your request, handle a privacy request, and protect the support channel against abuse. The developer does not sell the submission, use it for advertising, or build a profile about you.
The developer keeps a support submission only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve and follow up on the request and to meet applicable legal or security obligations, then deletes it or removes information that identifies you. There is no single fixed period because those needs differ by request. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of a support submission by using the same form and choosing the Privacy category. A request may be limited where retention is required by law or needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
What is not done
- No cross-app or cross-site tracking.
- No behavioural analytics, advertising SDK or data broker.
- No sale of personal information or sharing for targeted advertising.
- No developer cloud database for fasting records.
The iOS privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected-data categories. It declares UserDefaults access for app preferences.
Your choices
You can edit or delete records, disable reminders, end a Live Activity, decline optional purchases and avoid the support form. Uninstalling removes the app's local container, subject to backups you control. An updated policy will be published here when product behaviour changes.
