Share a food journal with family
Family Transfer and Baby's Records serve different purposes. Here is how to choose and check the file before using it.
A manual transfer between phones
- On the first phone, open Family and export the journal. Choose Share file or Save to Files.
- Send the file to the other parent using a method you choose. This does not start automatic syncing.
- On the second phone, open Family, then Import and review. The app first shows foods and entries to add, duplicates and differences.
- Read the preview. If there are differences, choose how to resolve them before confirming the import.
Before confirming: check that both journals belong to the same child. The file contains foods, dates, reactions, alerts and notes; choose carefully how to share it.
Three PDFs to read or print
Baby's Records prepares three documents from the journal on your phone: a feeding record, foods already tasted and a book of firsts. The first page of each is free to preview. Exporting the complete documents requires the Records entitlement, available as a one-time purchase in the app.
The PDFs are for reading or printing. Use the Family Transfer file to import entries on another phone. Family Transfer remains free.
What the journal shows
Dates and observations reflect only what you entered. Petites Bouchées does not diagnose reactions or provide medical advice. For feeding guidance or a possible allergic reaction, contact a qualified healthcare professional.
